Rhyme and Reflection

Spinning life’s chaos into laughs, stories, and verses — because therapy is expensive

In love with Loneliness

Wednesday, October 20, 1999 | 1 minute read

A damsel called Loneliness
captivates me with her dark smile

In the hush-hush quiet of the night,
Whispers sweet-nothings in my ear

Holds me close to her full breast
Until there is nothing between me and her

Entwines me with her lush long hair,
Eerie in nature and jet black everywhere

I see only her here, there, everywhere
We are company from me to her

Quietly she moves away, while I sleep
Her tiptoe foot croons a silent lullaby

I pine for her nearness, a heart broken lover
While she abandons me with cold charm

Seducing in secret and abandoning in gay
She adds more chapters to her dark history
