Rhyme and Reflection

Spinning life’s chaos into laughs, stories, and verses — because therapy is expensive

Frozen Tears

Thursday, August 23, 2007 | 1 minute read

The tears dried at the source
The time froze for the moment
The innocence was violently ripped away
The little boy will never be the same again

A random act of the perpetrators
Served no purpose for anyone
Dousing the child with gas and fire
Blatantly took the child from the little boy

His life would never be the same
The face scarred, heart broken
His friends shied away, school deserted him
At the age of five, the innocence was snatched away

He was still a child, knowing the world
In one brutal instant, they killed his desire
Filled his heart with hatred and spite
Took his trust of humans totally away

Alas what a shame!
In the name of religion and rights,
They robbed his fundamental rights
Leaving his tears dry at the source
