I stand at the beach watching the sunset
The orange glow immersing slowly into the waves
Inherently I feel her standing next to me
Silently encompassing the evening with her frame
Burdened by mundane life, I gasp, my breath struggling
My eyes well up just crying no more
with a loving flutter of eternal love
She touches the palm of my hand yet remaining unseen
As I ponder on the absolute insanity of my life
Closeted in darkness in a silent world
Her footsteps interrupt my thoughts
Tip toeing to come near and wait in the dark
Wrapped in chambers of my heart are secrets
Squished in between are dreams that belong only to me
She reaches to tease and steal it from me
Planting a silent kiss cementing the tattered sleeve
The day I pine for togetherness
Lonely I sit with my crushed desires
She heals my heart and provides comfort
Letting rest my head on her invisible lap
