Spinning life’s chaos into laughs, stories, and verses — because therapy is expensive

Beautiful Dear

Tuesday, September 08, 2015 | 1 minute read

Climbing out of the shower
brushing her shiny dark hair
She winked at me and said
"How do I look" and I said
You look beautiful dear

Dressed in dark suit for work
glancing at her makeup in mirror
She turned to me and said
"How do I look" and I said
You look beautiful dear

Picking up the kids at school
checking her buzzing phone in between
She texted me to say
"How do I look" and I said
You look beautiful dear

Planning the dinner to eat
rushing between to catch the news
with tired eyes she turned to say
"How do I look" and I said
You look beautiful dear

Exhausted from the very long day
She lay on the bed with arms around me
Her silent eyes asked me again
"How do I look" and I said
You look beautiful dear
