Lost

Thursday, June 06, 2019 | 1 minute read

She rolled on the bed ignoring the blaring alarm
Grumpily pulling a pillow on her face and tossing around
The many reason to continue to sleep allowed her to disarm
Lost, she struggled to comprehend her life profound

Soon the sun was blazing hot
Everywhere the day was taking off shining a bright spot
People scampered to run their lives like ordered by a despot
While she sat with a phone, clicking through Facebook and Instagram bot

Then one odd person called
Talking about others as gossip piled across
Later heading to the restaurant for a long lazy lunch
While dawdling about others life like a boss

As evening descended back in play
Her family assembled back for the day
She sat in her pajamas with disheveled hair grumpy not gay
Her phone beeping with mundane text viewing life that never would stay

Early in the evening, she retired for the night
Complaining of a million things that never went right
Pausing to yell at the slightest provoke and fight
She hastily pulled the sheets with Netflix in tow and tight

The purpose to live was completely lost
The feeling of pity for self, engulfed her frost
Hoping for a miracle that came with no cost
She was lost unable to find her inner ghost
