Spinning life’s chaos into laughs, stories, and verses — because therapy is expensive

She

Startled I awoke in my dreams
She was sitting next to me
A smile adorned her face
Simple, elegant, seraphic, magnetic
She was the epitome of beauty

Confused, muddled, perplexed
Discordant thoughts rising, I gaped
She responded with a comforting nod
My affinity for you will not change ever

Placing her delicate hands on my forehead
Soothing, pacifying, comforting
She questioned my turmoil state
I’m with you even if you don’t agree

Emboldened I asked her identity
I’m your mother that nourishes you
I’m your sibling that cares for you
I’m your lover that makes love to you
I’m your shadow that stays with you
I’m anger, I’m hate, I’m love, I’m joy
I’m the creator, I’m the destroyer
I’m the one with a thousand names

I’m present whether you accept or disown me
I’m in front and behind of you
I’m seen and unseen by you
I’m easy to please and hard to run away from
Omnipotent, powerful, divine
I’m always with you here there everywhere

And she continued
While I stared with bafflement
Her words resonating like a known felicitous lullaby
tranquilizing and sending joyful ecstasy brine
From the top of my head down my spine

Suddenly waking up, I saw her
Radiant, poised and charming
Leaning forward, she embraced me
Allowing her scent to perforate through every part of me
My hands feeling the velvet touch of her black hair
Drawing me closer, She whispered I’m life
Embrace me without conditions just like I do
Then she was gone while I remained
Forlorn, blissful and musing
My hands clinging to an empty black space
