I stood mesmerized
as she came running towards me
Her eyes transfixed only on me
while her name Maggie echoed
in the background

Standing next to me
she looked me up
Then went around me
stepping away and came back again
then decided I was not her type
and walked away

He chased after her
seeking her attention
calling her by name
and sometimes pleading for her
while she strolled in the pool of water
making him wait for her

Finally he caught up to her
irritated he was
grabbed her with his fist
and pulled her closer
subdued now, she responded
by wagging her tail
And dancing on her feet
forcing his anger to melt away
