Rhyme and Reflection

Spinning life’s chaos into laughs, stories, and verses — because therapy is expensive

Two Couples

Tuesday, August 01, 2023 | 1 minute read

With a stoic gaze, they sat,
A beer, an evening to share,
Minds wandering afar,
Her form, partly turned away,
Age's wisdom not contesting
The divide,
the reverence remained hidden,
Finding solace in silent camaraderie

Facing each other, they sat,
Joyous expressions on display,
Laughter filling the air,
Youthful play of hidden desires,
His gestures, her giggles constant,
Awkwardness in full play,
relishing their togetherness,
Hoping for a reward later in the night

Two couples, diverse in years,
Different in every way,
Two minds, two reasons,
Yet, beneath the surface,
Two bodies delighting,
Unfazed by time and age's rationale
